Archive Tours 2008
Hear this page read aloud
The last Thursday in January, March, May, July, September and November 2008
Please note that users who are unable to use stairs in the event of an emergency cannot be taken on the behind the scenes tour. This is because, in the event of an emergency, we would need to evacuate up a staircase. The archive introduction aspect of the event does not present such problems. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
With over 2.5 miles of records, The Royal Mail Archive is a treasure house of
social, postal and design history. Our holdings include everything from photographs and posters to staff records, maps, uniforms and a vast collection of philatelic material.
Join a member of BPMA staff for a friendly and informative introduction to the archive. You'll see how we store and care for our records, and will find out how you can use
them. There's also an opportunity to view our current philatelic exhibition in the Search Room display area.
This tour is perfect for both individuals and groups.
